Now, considering the club name, the vision here is to create a place where people can feel welcomed as they are. Ideally in this thread you would post who you are, an introduction that goes beyond the surface level. No "Hi i'm so and so, and I'm new here, but instead something similar to:

Hi, My name is Joseph Bohan. A Michigander who has spent most of his life growing up in the mitten state. I'm currently 24 years old and am working for a CPA firm in Reed City Michigan. I really enjoy working with numbers, playing games with friends, be it video games or otherwise. And I like to just talk to people, get to know who they are. Most importantly, my dream is to see other people succeed in their dreams. To create great music, to draw fun pictures, or to just raise a family, graduate high school, pass a class.

Something at least to get started with, to roll forward from. Since technology has really changed the way that we interact on a daily basis, I've always felt it would be necessary for us to be ourselves both on the internet and in person. That meeting someone online could be akin to meeting them on the street or at the store. If you listened to the song, I want to be one of the Real Ones. Who says what they mean and people don't have to second guess my intentions because they already know.

I'm excited to get to know everyone and I hope to learn a lot, because I've never used a forum and internet etiquette isn't something I know a lot about.

Hello I'm Zion and I'm an aspiring musician and songwriter and mangaka. I'm here because I have trouble finding real friends actually. I'm 18 and recently moved from taneytown MD to the DR. I'm a Christian who loves God when not distracted.

I'm looking for real friends, I get attached to people easily but since I'm also cautious I also let go easily. (Blessing and a curse)

I'm big on reading, music, and any sport that a manga or anime inspire me to play. But I'm loyal and don't give up on friends easily. Even IFs (internet friends if you're being real).

I think that's it right now. 😁

Zion! Welcome to the Real Ones, as a question is Zion your real name. It makes conversations easier when you address people as they actually are.

For clarification, you moved from Maryland to the Dominican Republic.

I'm always impressed by you creative types, as an accountant creative is generally frowned upon (Read as Jail Time). Feel free to post on here any music, art, or anything else that you are especially proud. Feel free to ask questions.

We're here to be friends, so if you need something always ask, and be ready to learn and grow.

Yup, Zion is my real name. Zion Manuel Mesa. I was already trying to be real so, I only go by my real name on the internet. I mean, I don't have anything to hide. Anything I say on the internet should be something that I am willing to take responsibility for.

Yeah, I'll be friends with anyone. Friendship goes two ways, so if anyone else needs someone to talk to, I'm here!

Guess its my turn.

Hello everybody. My name is Robert Luke McCormick. I am 17 years old and i was born September 3rd 2000.

I am born and raised in Alice Springs, Australia but the rest of my family is from Zimbabwe which is in Africa. I am the youngest of 4, 2 brothers and one sister.

I am currently doing my final year of high school and studying a certificate III in Hospitality which is Bartending and Garadon as well as training to be a shift supervisor. Garadon is your fancy flame cooking in front the the guests. I currently work as a waiter at a local Chinese Restaurant and for the local Lassesters Casino which used to be the Crown Plaza.  I have also started training for the under 21 NT (Northern Territory) development team for Lawn Balls.

I used to spend a lot of my time reading and playing video games but now i don't really have too much spare time. I don't really know what i want to do with my life so i am doing the hospitality course since it is acknowledged world wide.

i enjoy playing games with friends and i haven't discovered anything that i am good at yet.

Good Day,

My name is Kaspar J. van Hattum, I am currently 21 years of age. I am a Kiwi (New Zealander) of Dutch decent who flats in Auckland.  For the time being I am looking for a job, but previously was in university for 2 years focusing on chemistry.  I've been riding a unicycle for ~12 years now.  Despite having a lack of imagination/creativity I enjoy 3D Modelling and Puzzles. I am also a video-games enthusiast (might play a bit too often) and like single-player games as much as ones with friends. I am not really competitive however.  My favourite music genre is video-game OSTs(Original SoundTracks)

I am a very patient person and do not believe in any religion, although I do pay heed to the Tarot on a daily basis.

@Dantaliann Robert, welcome! I am super excited for you. You are so young, and yet have so many things going for you right now, and I admire your commitment to stay the course even if sometimes it seems like you aren't sure where you are headed. Also Hospitality is a great place to start for any career, because it helps you develop the interpersonal skills that are necessary in an profession to be successful and make a difference in people's lives.

If you ever need help with anything or just want to talk, that's what we/I am here for. You know, sometimes you really need to talk about those life decisions, which I hope you already do with you're parents/personal friends. But if you need outside opinions, well, we have a variety that's for sure. :)

Welcome to the club! Enjoy your time, and feel free to post anything here. Exciting, or depressing. Happy or Sad, Good or Bad, Right or Wrong. Just in what ever you post be honest and be Real.

@HighlyCorrosive

Hi Kaspar! First off, your name is ridiculous awesome. Second, welcome to the club!

I'm super encouraged at how well you use your head, even though you think your lack of creativity is a weakness, just like any other skill it can be grown. You just have to try new things and experience the world. Think outside the box. Since you already enjoy puzzles and 3D Modeling you're already really imaginative. The tough part about imagination and inspiration is that it just comes and goes, and typically it isn't when you are trying to be imaginative that your most imaginative works come out.

Plus Unicycling! That's super impressive, your of an elite few that has the ability to use such a device.

And I get the feeling that the majority of us here share a common enjoyment of video games, and spending time with friends/others. Indeed feel free to post on anything that you find interesting or cool or worth while. Whether its a new OST you really like or a game you've found, I've always found enjoyment in the happiness of others, and plus, I could find something new and cool too. :)

And I think I'm going to use this as a tag line now but.

Welcome to the Real Ones! Enjoy your time, and feel free to post anything here, exciting or depressing, happy or sad, good or bad, right or wrong. Just in what ever you post be honest and be Real.

I'll be cool and post. I'm generally called Twig online since I dislike giving out my real name. I'm a goofy boy who currently lives in Michigan and enjoys weather, anime, and electronic music. I spend most of my time being useless on the internet, but I plan to get a degree in meteorology is singing doesn't work out. I'm a christian, but I'm very laid back. I often forgo using caps, so that's become a joke among my friends. I'm very honest, blunt even, so be warned. I love puns.

Then you shall be named Twig. I understand, especially for younger people not posting any kind of specific details. The main premise behind this group is to make the internet a less scary place because you know the people on the other side of the screen are Real people, with Real thoughts.

I'm glad your an anime/electronic music fan because that makes this your forum :) Also given today's weather it's probably even better. Best of luck with your dreams and goals, I encourage you to pursue them whatever they might be :)

I'm interested to know why you've specifically segregated Christian and being laid back? I just like to know what people are thinking when they type/write things.

I AM A BIG FAN OF CAPS BUT IF YOU AREN'T THAT IS OK TOO!

Welcome to the group, we appreciate you being open, honest, blunt, just don't be rude.

@Neon-S While indeed hateful Christianity should itself be an oxymoron. I think it would be very dangerous to not be a zealous Christian, for that would mean that you do not consider your mission to be of great importance. I hope your time here is note worthy. I'll try to tone it down a bit.  I'm glad your here and willing to discuss things that are going on. :)

I understand not wanting to be associated with hateful people. Bye your personal choice to follow Christ doesn't need an explanation, it's not our job to worry about what people might think of us. Your actions will speak for themselves. Which I think is the concern, we don't want to be compared to others who represent us poorly. I think this brings up the question as to whether we need to call ourselves "Christian" at all. While I believe we should be unabashed in declaring our faith everywhere we go "Christian" is nothing more than a label that means so many different things to different people. It has begun to become a hindrance to our mission because it comes with a ton of preconceived notions or ideas of what that makes us. I think being a follower of Christ will be my goal, And I realize I called myself a Christian in my own introduction but, live and learn. I don't think I will anymore.

@Firewire Lol everyone starts somewhere. If you are looking to post a bio on here feel to post it on this thread. If you want one on your personal page I think you have to set that up in the settings menu. If you click on your profile picture in the top right you should be able to get to those menus. Similar to how you updated your profile picture. Signatures are done in a similar way.

On a mobile platform you actually just hit the menu button in the top right, click on the profile section, then profile settings, and then it's under the a out me section.
